The Challenge
Roytec was brought onto this prestigious Westminster project at a critical moment — the cladding design was on the critical path and threatening the programme. The top floor was a complex curved and sloped mansard: every coping at a different level, every slope a different angle, to be clad in PREFA aluminium flat-lock — a specialist system demanding expert detailing.
What we caught in BIM
Working in a full 3D model, we resolved the geometry before anything reached site — each changing angle and coping level coordinated and clash-checked — so the curved roof could be built from a buildable, fully-coordinated set rather than solved on the scaffold.
The result, against programme
Within one month our design team delivered the complete package — structural calculations, full detailed design and 25+ installation drawings. A project rescued from programme risk and carried to completion: proof that Roytec's design capability responds at speed without compromising on complexity.
