Greville Street
Overview
When the original subcontractor went insolvent mid-project, the main contractor needed someone they could rely on to step in and finish. Roytec designed, supplied and installed the replacement main entrance doors and completed the outstanding cladding on this striking bronze-clad Farringdon office — supplying and fitting the missing and damaged panels and the coping caps along the top of the building, and closing out a near-complete project without fuss. Proof that the relationships behind a project matter as much as the package itself.

Why we were called
Greville Street is a completed, high-specification office in Farringdon — a deeply modelled bronze-toned façade in the middle of a busy conservation-area streetscape. Partway through, the subcontractor responsible became insolvent, leaving the main entrance and parts of the cladding unfinished and the programme exposed. The main contractor needed a specialist they could trust to step in at short notice and close it out.

What we did
Roytec designed, supplied and installed the replacement main entrance doors, and completed the cladding the previous subcontractor had left outstanding — supplying and fitting the missing and damaged panels and the coping caps along the top of the building. Detailed to sit cleanly within the building's distinctive bronze envelope and its tight tolerances, and coordinated around a near-complete, occupied building, the work took a stalled package and carried it through to completion.

Why it matters
We didn't win this on a tender — we won it on trust. When a package is in trouble, main contractors come back to the subcontractors who pick up the phone and get them out of a hole. That willingness to step in, and to deliver to standard under pressure, is where long-term relationships and repeat business come from.
